Atletico Madrid reached the Champions League final after a dramatic 2-1 defeat at Bayern Munich saw them go through on away goals after a 2-2 aggregate draw.
Atletico manager Diego Simeone says his team has made giant strides in the past few years to compete at the peak of European soccer.
“We have worked hard over the last 4 years and a half. We played a final of the Europa League, the Super European Cup, the final of the King’s Cup and the Champions League. We have a core made of 10 new talented players supported by youth. This speaks volumes about the club’s ambitions.”

Atletico will play in final for the second time in three seasons against either rivals Real Madrid or Manchester City.
